For starters, there’s the joy of getting that boulder holder on or off (especially when you’re sweaty after the gym). Slip, slide, reverse. Then there’s my favorite part, when you get that badass bra halfway off, BUT you can’t move your arms. You try to get creative by rolling across your bed in a desperate effort to gain your freedom. (OK, maybe you haven’t actually done that, but I sure have.)
Fear not, ladies. I’ve found some great plus-size sports bras that will make you feel aaaah-mazing. Check out these five Curvicality faves.
Five Plus-Size Sports Bras That Pass The Comfort-Fit-Stay-In-Place Test.
She Fit Ultimate Sports Bra High Impact
Women love She Fit for the adjustability. SheFit calls it “zip, cinch, lift.” One of the best things about this bra is that the straps are nicely padded, adding to comfort. They can also be worn in an X or H-back style. It’s great for larger breasts. One reviewer even said: “It feels like armor for my chest.” Price: $75. Check this flexible support system out for yourself here.
Nike Dri Fit Alpha Sports Bra
We think you’ll love this plus-size sports bra just as much as we do. The support is incredible with minimal bounce. Plus, the back is adjustable for a secure yet comfortable fit. It’s also made of at least 50% recycled polyester fibers, making it a great choice in the way of sustainability (Available in sizes XL to 3X A/B cup to F/G cup.)Price: $68 Click here for the Nike Dri Fit Alpha Sports Bra. Never struggle to put on a sports bra again.
Kiava Endurance Bra-High Impact Support
I adore the Kiava Endurance Bra because it keeps the girls right where you want them to stay. I also love the straps on this bra because they don’t rely on the shoulders alone for weight distribution. They also aren’t the typical straps (look at the photos and you will see). It’s also important to note that this bra provides maximum support and a wicking effect (bye bye sweaty girls), which is a big bonus. It’s also reasonably priced compared to some other sports bras on the market. Price: $38 See the bra that ends painful bouncing here.LIVI High-Impact Underwire Wicking Sports Bra
Mary Beth (Curvicality founder) swears by this bra. In fact, she wears it in her crazy high intensity interval training (definitely not my thing) and running workouts with zero complaints. The thing about this bra is that there is no need to wiggle out. It closes in the back, and if you’re not savvy with back closures, you can step into it. (Available in band widths 34 to 54 B-DDD.) Price: $59.95, but check often for sales. You’ll find this supportive wonder here.
Torrid Low Impact Zip Front Sports Bra
Torrid is awesome with fit, and this extends to the Low Impact Zip Front Sports Bra. We love that this bra is available from sizes 00 to 6, or 10 to 30.
Don’t let the name of this bra fool you. Mary Beth also wears this one for her wild workouts. She swears by the support. But be aware that it can take a little patience to get it zipped. Price: $49.50, but check often for sales. Comfort and support are your pair’s best friends in this bra.
