A Letter From Curvicality Founder / Editor Mary Beth Cooper

Curvicality Magazine - Letter from the Editor
This late-summer issue of Curvicality Magazine is a celebration. We’re back and stronger than ever! Covid put a dent in our publication, but we came together as a community to overcome all of the obstacles standing in our way. It takes an army, and we created one.

First and foremost, thank you to all of you who made this possible.

A very special thank you to my dear friend Rasheedah Nicole Williams. You are the glue that holds this community together.

Thank you to my cherished friend Tawana Blassingame for pushing me to get back on the horse and keep riding. I adore you.

Thank you to Rachel Micheletti for always listening to and supporting me, for your friendship and for carrying the torch with Curvicality’s live Facebook interviews as our lead brand ambassador.

Thank you, Carmen Rene, for sticking with our team and for your steadfast friendship.

Thank you to my best friend, Chris Heine, for your daily wisdom and graphic design of this publication.

Thank you to all of you who wrote articles. This would not be possible without all of you. I am so appreciative!

Thank you to our new brand ambassadors. (Wait ‘til you meet them all in October. Grin.)

Thank you to the lovely Susan Curry for being our late-summer cover model. You are so inspiring. You are paving the way for all of us with your confidence, poise and grace. I appreciate you.

Best of all, thank you to all of you, our community. You’ve stood by us through thick and thin. Curvicality is all about YOU. Never forget how much you are loved.

This issue of Curvicality Magazine is dedicated to my now-close friend Jose Pagãn. Jose is a photographer specializing in the plus-size industry. He is changing the media with his consistent support of plus-size women. In his words, “I like to see women rise above themselves and see themselves as the Queens they are.” Just wait ‘til you see his photos. Oooooh la la!

So Queens, let’s celebrate our curvy bodies! And while we’re at it, let’s celebrate life itself. I hope you enjoy this very special issue of Curvicality Magazine. We’ll be back in October and December for more fun. As always, you can reach me anytime at Marybeth@Curvicality.com. I’m just an email away.

Love to you all,
Mary Beth Cooper

P.S. I’ve got to say it one more time because I’m overwhelmed with gratitude. In my entire life, I’ve never felt such an outpouring of love and support. It brings tears to my eyes. Thank you!!!!
